GCAM is dedicated to and specializes in the plasma industry. We are a growing company with centers in multiple states, and we have an immediate need for a Quality Control Coordinator at our facility located in Leon Valley, TX.
Please note: Experience in Phlebotomy or a Phlebotomy certificate is a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates preferred.

Summary
Under the direct supervisor of the Center QA Supervisor or Regional QA Manager, perform Quality functions to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and protocol.
Essential duties and responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
- Perform daily donor record file review
- Perform equipment quality control review – daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual
- Perform a review of donor center records
- Perform a review of equipment incident logs
- Verification and release of sample shipment
- Perform staging of plasma for shipment
- Inspection and release of incoming supplies
- Perform weekly employee observations
- Participate in the Quality Assurance meeting and be part of the Quality Assurance Team
- Assist the Center Manager to ensure that SOPs are followed and regulatory requirement are met.
- Performs a review of the documentation of unsuitable test results and the disposition of the associated units.
- Perform all tracking and trend analysis requirements and provide the information to the Manager and Corporate
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated.
- Other duties as assigned to meet company goals.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Six months experience in a donor center with similar Quality Assurance or medical field experience or equivalent combination or education, training and experience
- Strong Organization Skills and interpersonal and communication skills required
- Must have legible handwriting
- Must be able to use a complete and have knowledge of mathematics
- Be able to work independently and multi-task effectively
- Current CPR Card preferred
- Some travel may be required
Physical Demands:
- Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hand and wrists
- Ability to make precise coordinated movements, of the fingers to grasp and manipulate objects.
- Work is performed sitting, standing, bending and twisting neck and waist for 2-4 hours per day; some walking is required
- Light lifting of 15 lbs. up to a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
- Exposure to extreme cold below 32°
- Personal Protective Equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves
- Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens
