GCAM is dedicated to and specializes in plasma industry. We are a growing company with centers in multiple states, and we have an immediate need for a Training Coordinator at our facility located in Eagle Pass, TX.

Summary:
Responsible for coordinating and managing training activities, policies, and processes at the center level.
 
Essential duties and responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to: 
  • Participate in Center leadership team meetings to understand training needs.
  • Coordinate and may deliver location-specific training for center employees and ensure that appropriate documentation is complete and filed.  Research and contact subject matter experts to resolve any training questions.
  • Schedule, coordinate and monitor the delivery of all training, such as new hire, annual and any retraining to meet center or other training and regulatory requirements.  Ensure the most current version of training materials at the center.
  • Maintain up-to-date and relevant SOP’s, other procedures and area technical competencies in order to effectively deliver technical training to employees.
  • Organize and facilitate New Hire Orientation.  Schedule and monitor 90-day onboarding activities.
  • Collaborates with center management when viewing the Quality Management System to identify, coordinate and deliver re-training for the purpose of correcting or improving operational or quality issues.
  • Track and coordinate CPR and medical license renewals.  Coordinate employee participation in training or other initiatives provided by external resources or vendors.  
  • Maintain and audit training documents and files to ensure compliance with company policy and regulatory guidelines.
  • Train, direct and coordinate designated trainers to ensure understanding and clarity of training initiatives and utilizing appropriate documents.  Provide input into assessing designated trainers performance, as applicable.
  • Maintain clean efficient work environment and ensure sufficient operating supplies and forms are available.
  • Comply with all Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures.  Conduct routine internal procedures and documentation audits, as applicable.  Promote safety in all actions.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentially of all company records and information at all times.
  • Cross-Trained in all technical areas to assist with center needs and must obtain certification as a trainer in those areas.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet company goals.  
 
Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • MUST be bilingual. (English/Spanish)
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a training or education role, preferably in a technical or healthcare environment, or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Proven ability to conduct training using effective training techniques.  
  • Strong critical reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to analyze situations.
  • Strong Organization Skills and interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal and presentation skills to drive results
  • Must have legible handwriting
  • Be able to work independently and multi-task effectively
  • Current CPR Card preferred
  • Some travel may be required

Physical Demands:
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists
  • Ability to make precisely coordinated movements, of the fingers to grasp and manipulate objects.  
  • Work is performed sitting, standing, bending and twisting neck and waist for 2-4 hours per day; some walking is required
  • Light lifting of 15 lbs. up to a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to extreme cold below 32° personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments, and gloves  
  • Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens
