GAMA-1 Technologies seeks a highly motivated, customer-oriented Windows Systems Administrator to join our company and work with a talented team of Service Desk Specialists and Systems Administrators. The selected candidate will support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This is a strategically important position that will have a large impact on an already successful program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support implementation of managed SCCM pushes, updates, and patches on NOAA systems
- Provide technical guidance and input to other teams and team members as needed
- Image, test, and deploy computers for new user requests and break/fix responses
- Monitor the overall environment to include servers and network components
- Troubleshoot IT hardware and software issues to include servers, laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and VPN issues
- Perform Installs, Moves, Additions, and Changes (IMAC) for Tier II and Tier III
- Provide IT support for remote customers using government-approved remote support tools
- Perform account management in Active Directory and Mail Administration
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and update existing SOPs for specialized technology support
- Provide support on various infrastructure projects and daily operations while providing regular status updates to management
- Be responsive to customer requests, incidents, and requirements
- Document detailed notes in the ticketing system daily and provide customers with accurate and timely updates
- Remediate systems with identified vulnerabilities in coordination with the ISSO
- Prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION
- Knowledge of McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, SCCM, and computer imaging
- Possess a strong working knowledge of Service Now or equivalent ticketing systems
- Extensive experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 Operating Systems, MS Office Applications, Google Mail, and Google Applications
- At least 5 years of Tier II and Tier III onsite and remote support experience in a medium to large networked environment
- 2-4 years of work experience in an IT support leadership role
- Experience with Windows OS imaging using Ghost/SCCM and other tools
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player
- Must have experience working as a contractor for a government agency
- Excellent Customer Service skills including both written and verbal communications.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- United States Citizenship and ability to pass a US Government Background Investigation
- Some project management experience preferred
- ITILv3 Foundations Certification preferred
- CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, MCP, or A+ certification preferred
