Career Services Manager

Vision and Values:
Are you motivated by helping people obtain their dream jobs, possess proven facilitation and coaching skills, have a passion for inspiring action in others, have demonstrated successful business development skills and have a gift for building long-term client relationships?

Galvanize is looking for a Career Services Manager to prepare a diverse population of students and recent graduates for their job search and build and grow relationships with employers to help drive 100% placement of our students following completion of our immersive programs.

Galvanize is the learning community for technology, and we are solving the technical talent gap by producing the most in-demand developers and data scientists today. Our immersion programs in data science and web development are the training grounds for anyone with the smarts, drive, and grit to tackle the hard questions, solve tough problems, and create innovative solutions. At the time they show up to an information session, submit an application for admission, or sit in first-day orientation, a Galvanize student is committed to disrupting his or her own career with the tools they get from our practical, hands-on programs.

To assure our students are launching into their next career, we need a career development professional to work with the students from the first day of class, through the day they sign an offer letter from their new employer. We also need to cultivate the employer relationships that are at-the-ready to hire them.

Our Career Services Manager provides career management support to the designated students on their campus, creating and delivering career management programming (workshops), conducting one-on-one and small group coaching sessions, facilitating panels, and engaging and sourcing alumni volunteers. This position is also responsible for driving employer relationships through proactive business development outreach, explicit referrals of Galvanize candidates, and the creation of platforms through which employers can directly meet and interact with students and graduates.. At Galvanize, we are committed to supporting our students, ensuring 100% realize their career goal, and our Career Services Manager ensures each student is presented to relevant opportunities at graduation and until they confirm a job offer of relevant employment. If you are excited by the Galvanize mission of transforming lives through education, your work with employers and your advocacy of Galvanize students will excite you every day.
