TTP DATA Teaching Assistant

The Data Analyst Training Accelerator (DATA) at Galvanize – our free, full-time, 18-week, in-person immersive training program – was developed in direct response to industry feedback from some of the city’s largest tech employers. Offered in partnership with the NYC Tech Talent Pipeline, this program is designed to equip unemployed and underemployed New Yorkers with the in-demand skills necessary to launch careers in data and marketing analysis. 

TTP DATA Teaching Assistants (TAs) assist in training students in Data Analysis fundamentals and best practices. DATA TAs are student-facing members of the team. Classroom responsibilities include ‘being on the floor,’ which means helping students through daily exercises and projects. Other classroom responsibilities include building new / iterating current curriculum, grading student tests, and reviewing student projects and assignments.

What makes you a great fit: 
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a data analyst
  • A passion for data analysis and education 
  • A positive attitude

Week of classroom responsibilities include:
  • Helping students on the floor during classroom exercises
  • Building new/iterating current curriculum
  • Reviewing current students projects, code, and grading assessments
  • Attending weekly curriculum meeting
