We are a stealth startup, creating a hardware and software platform for data centers. We are building chips, systems, and software to create our platform. In this role you will first design and develop a BIOS / UEFI driver for an Ethernet controller. You will work closely with firmware and networking teams.
Skills, Education, and Experience Required
- BS in computer science or equivalent degree
- 3+ years experience working with UEFI firmware, legacy BIOS, pre-boot environment
- Good knowledge of x86/PC architecture, interfaces such as PCI, I2C/SMBUS and standards like ACPI
- Proficiency with C/C++, assembly language, EDK-II development environment
- Experience with low level debug, hardware analyzers
- Knowledge of Ethernet devices, networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
- Good communication skills
- Desire to push the state of the art
- Self motivated, independent and proactive
Additional Success Factors
- Experience with the networking stack, storage drivers, file systems, microkernels, hypervisors, firmware
- Understanding of UEFI/Secureboot
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows boot loaders
- Experience bringing up hardware
