Head of Performance Marketing

At Freetrade, we believe investing should be open to everyone. It's one of the best ways to grow your savings, but for a lot of people, investing seems complicated, expensive and remote. We’re changing all that. 
 
We’ve built a beautiful investing app that our customers love, and behind the app, we’re building all the technology from the ground up.
 
We’ve grown from just eight employees a year ago to over 40 today, and we’re currently hiring as many great people as fast as we can.
 
We’re now looking for our Head of Performance Marketing to build the strategy and most importantly, execute our paid acquisition. Freetrade has built an amazing organic acquisition engine, and we’re looking for the right person to amplify that with their comprehensive experience across paid channels from search to media. You’ll report directly to the CMO and be a key player of building out our broader marketing team.

What you’ll do:
  • Work with the CMO to develop a high-performing paid component of Freetrade’s growth engine.
  • Own, launch and manage all paid channels that are right for Freetrade, including strategy, planning, tracking, reporting, analysis and optimisation to ensure delivery against specific KPIs, in the UK currently, and across all markets in the future.
  • Test new channels all the time, and know which ones are having the biggest impact and are fit for Freetrade.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to implement A/B tests and where appropriate as well as come up with ideas on how we can make things better
  • Work on strategy, forecasting and messaging and CAC optimisation.
  • Work closely with our contacts at core platforms such as Google and Facebook to ensure we’re constantly testing new betas and are at the forefront.
  • Identify and test new paid opportunities.

Apply if:
  • You have built a performance marketing engine before: spanning over tracking, attribution and optimisation. You have experience in forecasting.
  • You can lead, collaborate, and most importantly, execute in an early-stage, ambiguous, changing environment.
  • You have deep knowledge of paid channels: the usual Facebook, Google Adwords, Twitter, Display, YouTube, as well as the unusual ones which produce surprising results.
  • Your leadership style is approachable and candid and you are able to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.

Logistics:
 
The application process consists of a short phone interview, followed by a task and a couple of on-site interviews at our office in London.
