POSITION SUMMARY: 

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and skillful hacker to join our small, but growing international team working in the center of Warsaw.

ESSENTIALS:

  • Location: Warsaw, Poland
  • Employment: Full-time (B2B)
  • Project industry: Software development for HealthTech, FinTech, and FoodTech industries
  • Company size: 40+

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Produce skillfully crafted software in all tiers of a web application - both back-end and front-end
  • Thoughtfully analyze and clearly communicate technical recommendations to clients
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior colleagues
  • Keep up with changes and trends in the industry
  • Help develop estimates and iterative project plans with project managers and clients
  • Provide and advocate for technical solutions to business problems in an understandable manner
  • Proactively influence our business (improving our methodology, sales, work environment, etc.)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Web application development skills with 4+ years experience using Java and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate etc.)
  • IT-related university degree or equivalent work experience
  • Technical excellence in own area of expertise and broad understanding of general software engineering
  • Knowledge of modern front-end development languages (HTML 5, CSS and JavaScript) and any of frontend modern JS frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js etc.)
  • Database design and SQL skills with RDMS
  • Knowledge of cloud hosting solutions: AWS, Google Cloud or Azure
  • Ability to provide technical leadership in mid- and large-sized projects in all aspects (technology, client communication, architecture, infrastructure, project lifecycle, security, performance, scalability etc.)
  • Proven ability to solve problems
  • Proven analytical, planning, and technical design skills
  • Readiness and interest to learn new technologies
  • Passion for getting things done well
  • Comfortable communicating in English both verbally and in writing

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Windows/Linux/Database system administration skills
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies: Kafka, Flink, etc.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of other modern  technologies e.g. Python, Ruby or mobile technologies
