    Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Truck Mount Technician to join our team. The Truck Mount Technician at Frazer reports to the Truck Shop Supervisor, and is responsible for ensuring that units are mounted according to the schedule set each week.  Meet mounting target of one unit completed per shift . Follow work instructions provided and ensure parts needed for each job are available and accounted for.  Effectively communicate with other departments as well as other team members to ensure a steady work flow. 

    What Does a Week in the Life of the Mount Technician Look Like?
    Per the schedule provided to you by your supervisor, the Mount Technician will read the job book instructions specifically for the unit being mounted.  You will then prep box, mark holes by aligning the box to the chassis, drill holes, then place box on chassis and secure the bolts to tiedowns.  You will be responsible for prepping hoses for the generator and fuel pump.  This position will also be responsible for installing and connecting the generator.

    Required Education and Experience:
    HS Diploma

    Preferred Education and Experience:
    HS Diploma or GED

    Skills (to Pay the Bills)
    Here's a list of a few competencies that the Job Title at Frazer should have…

    1. layout, position, align and fit components together using a ruler, square, or other tools.

    2. Work on materials using drills, saws, screw guns, air tools, wrenches, or other tools as needed.

    3. Read and understand prints, manuals, and instructions (written or verbal) required to accomplish tasks.

    4. Cut, form, grind and layout material, prior to assembly using screws, bolts/nuts,  or other fastening techniques.

    5. Being able to install generator which requires prepping the compartment, and fuel pump prep.

    Software Knowledge
    Also, here are a few software packages that the Mount Technician  would eventually need to be versed in. Don’t worry . . . we expect some on-the-job training.

    • Google G-Suite (Gmail, Documents, Drive, Spreadsheets, etc.)
    • Paycom (HRIS)
    • Job Manager

    Oh, and $alary

    Of course, we didn't forget salary… Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $15.00 - $17.00 per hour depending on education, certifications, and experience.
