THE ROLE:
Under the direction of the Logistics Manager for operations, Logistics Coordinators organize, track, and execute activities within the Logistics Department. This is a road role that requires planning and project management. Everyone in the company relies on Logistics Coordinators as the main points of contact for the Logistics Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate with staff, vendors, and customers as a primary point of contact for the Logistics Department throughout the day
- Approve sales orders based on established criteria
- Build daily routes for all regular deliveries
- Prepare invoices and other delivery materials for daily routes
- At the direction of the Logistics Manager, coordinate irregular deliveries and shipments (less-than-truckload and full-truckload)
- At the direction of the Logistics Manager, perform dispatch functions for the Delivery team (e.g. help find tire repair & locksmith services and re-route orders as needed during the day)
- Coordinate with daytime warehouse staff on will call orders
- Collect and organize daily workload and service exception feedback from Delivery Drivers and Logistics Technicians
- Assist Logistics Managers with reporting on key performance indicators
- Assist Logistics Managers with tracking equipment information and coordinating repairs and maintenance
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years of experience within a high volume route management role preferred
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
SKILLS:
- Proficient with Excel, Google Suite, and Apple computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Highly detail oriented and organized
- Reliable, responsible, and proactive attitude
- Highly motivated and works well both independently and in a team environment
- Flexible and adaptable to change; ability to learn new software platforms
- Current California Driver’s License
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- Morning Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday
- Afternoon Shift: 11:00 am - 7:30 pm Monday - Friday
- Occasional overtime may be required based on volume of sales orders

- This job operates at a desk working on a computer most of the day in or adjacent to a warehouse environment with heavy machinery and occasional loud noises
