OVERVIEW:
As a valued member of the Logistics department, the Delivery Driver oversees the distribution of Fort Point products to our loyal customers. Drivers are responsible for driving a refrigerated 14' box truck and performing all duties in compliance with appropriate safety and security standards. Additionally, we pride ourselves on being highly customer service oriented & knowledgeable about the products we deliver.
The ideal Delivery Driver is an experienced and dedicated professional with excellent communication skills committed to top notch customer service. Must thrive while managing a full day of deliveries and providing seamless, friendly communication on behalf of the brewery in keeping with the company's mission and values.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate daily delivery to assigned designated routes including over 900 bar, restaurant and retail accounts in the Greater Bay Area
- Coordinate onsite invoicing and payment with delivery accounts
- Act as front line of communication out in the field throughout delivery route
- Provide outstanding customer service during deliver and pick-up operations
- Performing all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
- Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, and training or safety records
- Cleaning and maintaining the truck, including taking the truck to designated location for clean out and re-fueling
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment and referring defects or needed repairs to supervisor
- Planning daily route to insure most economical use of time and equipment; as needed
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Ability to lift a full keg (180 lbs.) from the ground to the back of delivery truck repeatedly (approx..20-30 deliveries per day) throughout each workday
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
- Able to resolve complaints and problems as they arise from customers and employees
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers, supervisors, clients and the general public
- Passion for beer and the brewing industry
- Current California Driver’s License and a clean driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Regular and consistent attendance and the ability to sit and work with hands and arms for at least eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week
- Physical ability to stand up to 8 hours a day, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, walk, crawl, push and pull items weighing up to 180 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to drive delivery trucks to and from our client’s operations
- Hand and finger dexterity for grabbing, lifting, etc.
- Aptitude for troubleshooting basic mechanical and electrical systems
- Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills in English
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday (This includes a 30 minute lunch).
EQUIPMENT OPERATION/SKILLS:
- Current and valid CA driver's license, satisfactory driving record and insurable under Fort Point Beer Company’s insurer

TRAVEL:
- Daily travel in company vehicle within the Greater Bay Area will be required with this role
