POSITION SUMMARY:
The Production Manager for the Brewhouse owns wort production at Fort Point. This person works collaboratively and with a safety first mentality to keep the brewery running and are the go-to people for questions on the floor. This particular role will support our brewing team, ensuring all steps in getting wort from the brewhouse to fermenters happen on time following our high quality standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as Person in Charge (PIC) on the production floor—this includes emergency response readiness
- Guarantee quality standards with our required critical control points
- Schedule brewing shifts to cover wort production requirements
- Ensuring brewers are properly trained on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure shift breaks and overtime tracking happen consistently
- Engage Production staff in finding solutions to problems as they arise
- Coordinate with other Production Managers to ensure safety, quality, and production procedures are adhered to
- Ensure data is entered in real-time into ERP
- Manage raw materials handling and conduct inventory counts
- Facilitate communication across the Production department
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute all duties of Brewery Technician role (Packing, Cellar, Brewhouse)
- Assist with day to day planning of process and procedures
EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of food or beverage production experience (Brewery specific is a plus)
- Experience leading a team
- Advanced Excel, Google Suite, and Apple computer skills
- Experience with cGMP a plus
- High School Diploma preferred
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- Weekday morning, weekend, and/or evening schedule may be required

- Operate canning line and auxiliary equipment
- Operate forklift, scissor lift and manual and powered pallet jack

- Density meter, pH meter, microscope, and general lab equipment

- Brewhouse - Mash mixer, lauter tun, kettle, whirlpool
