POSITION SUMMARY:
The Logistics Technician is an integral position within our supply chain requiring hard work, attention to detail, and a knack for organization. This person must be able to handle balancing the needs of the daily inventory picks for a variety of inventory while conducting their job in compliance to our safety standards at any of our facilities.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate inventory control for all finished goods, including tagging, wrapping, stacking and reorganization of product
- Execute daily picks of finished goods according to FIFO principles in a timely and safe manner
- Assist with the transfer of dry goods and raw materials between warehouses
- Loading / Unloading delivery vehicles & 53' semi-trailers
- Uphold organization and material handling standards within all facilities
- Conduct general maintenance and upkeep of warehouse, including facility management and equipment cleaning
- Maintain shipping and receiving logs
- Execute inventory rotations according to FIFO standards
- Collaborate as needed with other departments to integrate logistics into overall Fort Point systems
- Administer shipping of outgoing packages as needed
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Ability to lift at least 180 lbs. and be able to push/pull up to 3,000 lbs. using a pallet jack
- Ability to climb on and off delivery vehicles when loading/unloading
- Valid CA Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record
- Courteous, professional and polished demeanor
- Prior work experience in a warehouse
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
REQUIRED SKILLS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Regular and consistent attendance and the ability to sit and work with hands and arms for at least eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week
- Physical ability to stand up to 8 hours a day, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, walk, crawl, push and pull items weighing up to 180 pounds repeatedly
ROTATIONAL HOURS OF WORK:
- Early AM Shift: 5am - 1:30pm (M-F)
- AM Shift: 7am - 3:30pm (M-F)
- Evening Shift: 1:00pm - 11:30pm (M-Th)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This job operates in varying outside weather conditions and temperatures for extended periods of time, working in wet and/or humid conditions, heat and cold, in loud environments when out in the field, and with fumes or airborne particles of varying composition.
