Product Marketing Manager

The Position:
Flybits is looking for a Product Marketing Manager that shares a common vision on how technology fits into our lives.

As an integral member of the Product Marketing team, you will be responsible for ensuring that we are properly positioned in the market while conveying a clear and consistent narrative. You will also be responsible for disseminating that narrative internally.

Success in this role will be measured on your ability to effectively communicate our product. In order to accomplish this, you will need to know our product and our direct/indirect competitors’ products. Effective communication, collaboration and organization skills will be essential in ensuring success in this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and communicate the competitive landscape internally and externally
  • Become an expert on our competition and how they are positioned while staying up-to-date on their changes
  • Closely follow emerging technology, consumer, and societal trends, and identify/present opportunities from which Flybits can engage and benefit
  • Contribute to our content marketing strategy with insights, thought-leadership and research
  • Analyze our target market(s), our buyers, who they are, how they buy and their buying criteria
  • Understand the challenges our target market are faced with and map them to the solutions we provide (i.e. use cases)
  • Support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers; develop internal/external collateral and train them how and when to use it
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas
  • Act as a thought leader for our product and how it solves industry challenges
  • Participate in speaking engagements and written works as required

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, engineering or equivalent experience desirable
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a marketing/product position within a SaaS business
  • Excellent computer skills — Google Docs (Sheets, Presentation, Docs, etc.).
  • Enterprise SaaS experience preferred

Skills & Experience:
  • Excellent presentation, spoken and written skills
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and entrepreneurial-minded
  • Compelling product messaging curation, positioning and product marketing strategies for an enterprise SaaS platform
  • Effective at project management and keeping to deadlines as well as coordinating and collaborating cross-functionally
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to define and measure the success of projects/campaigns
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle and methodologies
  • In-depth understanding of selling SaaS/PaaS to enterprise; sales cycles, various sales stage, deal qualification, etc

Nice to Haves:
  • Previous experience in Financial Services is a significant asset
  • Previous experience creating a software training/education program that was used internally and externally
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GDPR, PSD2, and open banking are a significant asset
