We are seeking a HyperMesh & OptiStruct Applications Engineer to provide pre-sales and technical support to our direct sales staff and simulation customers. As an integral piece of our sales process, you will lead software demonstrations, benchmarks, trial administration, needs analysis, solution architecting, product positioning, and account qualification. You will focus primarily on the Altair Pre & Post Products and Optimization Products, but will also support additional Altair simulation packages such as SimSolid, Feko, and Flux.
To Be Successful:
You must have knowledge of high end simulation products including Altair products. You will perform pre-sales standard and custom demonstrations (ie. Simulation (FEA), Custom Tutorials, and Partner Products). You will be a part of marketing events such as Hands-On Test Drives, Trade Shows, and Technology Fairs. Also, you will assist post-sales activities, such as training, technical support, small implementations/project management, power users sessions, and user group meetings.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience using CAE tools in a professional environment. This includes but not limited to Finite Element Analysis (linear, nonlinear, and dynamic), Computational Fluid Dynamics or Multi-Body Dynamics.
- Experience with CAE tools such as HyperMesh, Optistruct, and Inspire.
- Ability to travel 25%.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to all audiences.
You Might Have:
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.
- Previous exposure to Nastran, Abaqus or Ansys.
- Skills in operating equipment, such as personal computer, software and IT systems.
