Fishbowl is looking for an experienced business development and partnerships lead to join our team and help build the next social network for professionals. We’re passionate about connecting professionals through authentic conversation, and at Fishbowl we’re bringing together world-class talent from different experiences, disciplines, and areas of study to produce a new type of online network.

Fishbowl connects professionals with colleagues in their industry to have candid and relevant workplace conversations. Many users describe Fishbowl as a “Twitter meets LinkedIn”. The platform initially opened exclusively to the Consulting, Accounting, and Advertising industries and has since captured more than 30% of US professionals within each. We've focused on proving out incredible engagement stats, and we're just getting started on scaling the platform to the rest of the professional world.

The Head of Business Development & Partnerships will establish and manage relationships with a diverse set of companies and professional organizations. This is a critical role that will be focused on simultaneously scaling user and revenue growth. From handling enterprise contracts with companies that have tens of thousands of employees to establishing strategic partnerships with Diversity & Inclusion oriented organizations such as Time's Up, this role will be responsible for all external relationships. As the BD & Partnerships lead you will also have 1-2 direct reports, but will be building pitches and managing relationships yourself.

 
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Develop Fishbowl's partner roadmap and identify key revenue opportunities
• Map out potential partners across a variety of industries, from Management Consulting, to Media & Entertainment, to Pharmaceuticals
• Develop scalable processes to establish, foster, and manage partnerships from 10 to 100s
• Manage 1-2 direct reports focused on partner success and partner program growth
• Develop, establish and maintain impactful relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders from executives to industry thought leaders
• Represent Fishbowl for prospective partners and leverage speaking opportunities at industry conferences
• Work closely with Community, and Product to respond to partner needs and feedback
• Work closely with Marketing and PR to establish Fishbowl as the leading platform for professional organizations to engage and discuss
 
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• 7+ years of partner management or business development experience in the digital industry
• Experience in sales and managing revenue generating business relationships
• Experience in working with and consulting executive level business and marketing leaders within partner organizations
• Excellent communication, presentation skills and executive presence
• Track record of delivering successful mutual business outcomes
• Established industry relationships across professional services, tech, media, and entertainment
• Be both an analytical and creative thinker and problem solver
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
