Fishbowl is looking for a Product Manager to join our team and help build the next social network for professionals. We’re passionate about connecting professionals through authentic conversation, and at Fishbowl we’re bringing together world-class talent from different experiences, disciplines, and areas of study to produce a new type of online network.
Fishbowl connects professionals with colleagues in their industry to have candid and relevant workplace conversations. Many users describe Fishbowl as a “Twitter meets LinkedIn”. The platform initially opened exclusively to the Consulting, Accounting, and Advertising industries and has since captured more than 30% of US professionals within each. We've focused on proving out incredible engagement stats, and we're just getting started on scaling the platform to the rest of the professional world.
As the Product Manager you will work closely with Fishbowl’s founders on developing the roadmap and new product features. You will spend the majority of time shipping features by managing the local and remote engineering teams acting as their informal Scrum Master. This will require comfort with being detail oriented and constant reprioritization. You will work hand in hand with our product designers, and you will collaborate with Fishbowl’s marketing team members to build features and products to help grow Fishbowl’s user base. You will be responsible for core product features on all platforms (backend, frontend, mobile) and have a passion for building community.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Work in tandem with the cofounders and product team to execute the Fishbowl roadmap and vision
- Manage tasks and tickets for local and remote engineering teams
- Coordinate prioritization across multiple teams and time zones
- Drive product requirement definition, product planning, and product design of new features
- Facilitate and manage user testing with active Fishbowl users
- Track key funnel metrics and prioritize areas for improvement
- Design and execute A/B product level experiments with tools like Apptimize
- Partner with design to develop friendly, easy-to-use user experiences
- Partner with marketing to develop a go-to-market strategy and facilitate a successful and impactful product launches
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Previous experience as a Product Manager (or technical Project Manager)
- Experience leading the end to end product lifecycle
- Have shipped at least one consumer-grade product (bonus for apps in social or messaging)
- Deep knowledge of product design and development processes
- Strong Design and UX sense
- Practical experience working with remote teams
- Technical background is strongly preferred but not required
- Proficient with design tools like Sketch and Zeplin
- Insatiable curiosity to always look for new opportunities for improvement is a must
