Now, about the opportunity: As an Account Director, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the creation of customer marketing programs and campaigns at one of our large tech clients on the Peninsula.
This position will be responsible for working directly with client marketers to plan, develop and execute their marketing programs. The ideal candidate has excellent operational and people management skills and must have a good understanding of how marketing programs work from inception to launch. You must have the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders. You are self-driven and understand how to navigate ambiguity. The ideal candidate will have both agency and client side experience.
Your time will be spent at our headquarters in the heart of San Francisco, with 3-4 days a month spent in Sunnyvale at our client offices, working alongside our client partners.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as the internal program/project lead, providing direction, leadership and advocacy for the team
- Responsible for overall client satisfaction, quality of service, and on-time, on-budget completion of the agency’s services
- Oversee all aspects of creative development process from briefing and development to final approval
- Look beyond the day-to-day needs of a large account, ensure the use of effective processes across the team and long-term stability
- Demonstrate excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately
- Build and maintain key relationships with client partners
Who we’re looking for:
- Strong understanding of channel mix/relationship/direct & data driven marketing strategy, practices and principles
- Demonstrated ability to execute large-scale marketing strategies and programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills
- Comfortable working autonomously
- Ability to work calmly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- 5+ years experience working on either the client side or agency side (preferably both)
- Demonstrated ability to make thoughtful decisions--whether it’s related to people management, team development, client relationship, or internal process--with foresight and follow through
- Experience working with B2B and/or tech sector companies
- Clear communicator to team and clients; a natural diplomat with the ability to gather information and push back while maintaining positive relationships
- BA/BS degree
