Content Strategist

We’re looking to add an expert Content Strategist to our Strategy  team.  In this role you’ll gather and leverage research to create compelling content, much through blog posts.  You are accustomed to being in a fast paced environment, enjoy working with a number of cross-functional partners and relish opportunities to team up with a creative team.  Sound like you?

The ideal candidate is a go-getter who jumps on new opportunities, gets nerdy about what they do, and works fast and flexibly to get the job done. 

Your time will be spent 2-3 days a week at large tech client in Mountain View and 2 days a week at our headquarters in the heart of San Francisco 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Support The Keyword blog post :
    • Work with PR and Research lead to create long term blog post calendar
    • Collect regular product launch updates for the coming month from teams and help to put a human story to communicate product launches in small business space
    • Write blog posts and facilitate the process to collect all comments from stakeholders and approvals
    • Help to coordinate with social teams to cross post blog
    • Help to identify core opportunities to increase blog readership with PR and marketing experts, put plan in place and execute on it
  • Prepare earnings call communication
    • Collect inputs from management team on leading candidates for the earnings call
    • Coordinate data clearance with Content and Insights team
    • Write snippet options
    • Coordinate alignment and approval process
    • Coordinate data collection process across teams, with product managers
    • Ensure timely submission
  • Coordinate with agency to create appealing SMB stories
    • Help to align brief
    • Ensure process is in place to generate target amount of stories per quarter
    • Coordinate cross functionally to get leads for small business stories
    • Manage day to day work with agency, help to answer their questions, connect to right people and provide right resource
    • Schedule review and approval meetings, collect feedback from key stakeholders
  • Support communication consistency
    • Help to arrange and run communication strategy sessions to define core communication gaps and create one message
    • Work with agency to create documents telling one story for each of the segments
    • Connect with creative teams, segment leads, content teams and regional leads to ensure one story is reflected across all our communication

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing communication, specifically in B2B and/or B2C 
  • Exceptional writing skills, writing related education or professional experience
  • Creative mindset
  • Ability to work across teams and connect the dots
  • Experience working at or with creative agencies
  • Collaborative and a self-starter; once the vision is defined, this person can take things and run with it
  • Organized; someone who excels at creating a process and order around things
  • Communicative and social; someone who proactively approaches POCs, aligns stakeholders, onboards teams to new processes, and leads training.
