Program Account Manager (Operations)

Firewood Marketing is looking for a rock-star Program Account Manager, with a serious side of “roll up your sleeves” account and project management. The ideal candidate will have both internal agency and client-facing experience—and will be able to match Firewood Marketing’s high energy, drive, and integrity while working as part of an on-site agency with our embedded team at a large tech company on the Peninsula.

As a Program Account Manager, you will work seamlessly with our client marketers to support the maintenance and amplification their program. You will aid in planning, development, and execution of all day-to-day activities that drive growth for our client’s business. This includes, but is not limited to: process monitoring, facilitating translation requests, data collection, vendor management, process control, content review, surveys, and management of repositories/tools. The right candidate is able to step out of a traditional agency role and be a strategic and analytical thinker who can break down problems and find solutions, a collaborator who thrives in a highly cross-functional environment, and a relationship builder who is comfortable and confident partnering with clients as a part of the marketing team. This role requires the ability to work with our client (Mountain View, California) and with the Firewood office in San Francisco via online forums.

Day-to-day responsibilities
  • Partner with our client marketers to support day-to-day activities of the program team including:
  • Process monitoring, facilitating requests, data collection, vendor management & training, content management, surveys, and compliance
  • As necessary, contribute to development of
  • Quarterly plans, including program prioritization, timelines, and resourcing
  • Messaging guidelines and alignment on market trends/competitive landscape to help build distinct positioning/messaging
  • Customer journeys 
  • Customer insights via research
  • Drive project management to ensure deliverables are developed and delivered to production on time
  • Act as an internal expert responsible for supporting and collaborating with the team to deliver the best solutions for our clients
  • Partner with client marketers; act as point of contact for execution and ensure delivery of creative that maps to overall strategy 
  • Communicate with client marketers, understanding that in our highly collaborative internal work group mode, the team is often the first line of communication with clients
  • Maintain excellent written and verbal communication with all parties
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Required qualifications  
  • 3–5 years of experience in a faced paced marketing, consulting or program management role
  • Proactive, disciplined, organized, a self-starter, and highly motivated
  • Clear communicator: a natural diplomat with the ability to gather information and push back while maintaining positive client relationships
  • Excellent written communication skills with an extreme attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing data 
  • BA/BS degree
  • Knowledge management experience a plus
