We all know someone impacted by mental health condition; 1 in 4 Americans have a treatable mental health condition, but the majority of them don't get help because of access and affordability issues (80% of therapists don’t directly accept insurance). We're addressing this access problem by building a marketplace that deals with the messiness of insurance behind the scenes, so people can get affordable in-person therapy covered by insurance.

*The Role*
 
As the first member of our therapist advocate team you will partner with the head of operations to define and develop this function at Headway. You will -
 
  • Build irreplaceable, long-term therapist relationships. As the first member of this team, help craft what success means including developing systems, processes and best practices to ensure Headway therapists are successful in the short and long-term.
  • Deliver value-driven solutions; ensure therapists begin every interaction with Headway with a clear understanding of our purpose and conclude every interaction with tangible results or next steps
  • Lead efforts to develop and deepen relationships within our therapist community. Research, evaluate and execute offerings to deepen bonds within our therapist community.
  • Become a product and domain expert. Provide critical insights to product leadership or assume direct product leadership to enhance therapist product and respond to spoken and unspoken therapist needs.
  • In partnership with sales, develop therapist onboarding materials and processes. Partner with sales team to further develop educational and sales collateral.
  • Drive growth. Work with therapists to increase the number of hours they provide to Headway patients. Help plan for and assist in new market launches.
  • In partnership with the head of operations, define functional KPIs and deliver against them.
 
 
*Ideal Candidate*
 
  • You really care. You can’t fake caring and this will matter most to our therapists.
  • You thrive in chaos. The only constant we can promise you here other than impact is daily changes.
  • Building rapport is second nature to you. You are empathetic and warm.
  • 2+ years in account management, or project management with experience working with a wide range of clients and stakeholders
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked with mental health therapists and grown networks in the past.  
  • Experience in a client facing role and comfortable fostering relationships with diverse stakeholders and groups.
  • Bonus points for startup experience, health care experience, or experience building products or processes.
