The ideal candidate will bring a variety of skills such as strong business acumen and analytical skills. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The Specialist will be responsible for analyzing data for customers and internal management. The process will involve performing interviews and creating reporting systems as well as presenting findings to customers. You should have a keen eye for efficiently identifying trends and anomalies within large datasets.
Develop strong knowledge of corporate products and system capabilities.
Perform research on industry and clients.
Ensure data warehouse contains all relevant data points for analysis and is complete and accurate.
Develop and produce internal reporting on various metrics for management review.
Be a visionary in how and what data the company captures and how it is organized.
Analyze the broad data set to identify trends or anomalies in customers or the industry.
Perform data mining, predictive modelling and scenario.
Assist management in deciphering data and in making decisions from it.
Create reporting to act as controls and fraud detection for customers.
Present findings and analytics to senior management and customers.
Partner internally on how best to deliver repeatable analytics on demand to customer base.
Provide educational training to customers as necessary.
Advanced degree in a mathematical discipline.
At least one two years of practical business experience.
Self-motivates and able to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Be detail oriented, able to multi-task and keep eye on the big picture.
Proficient in Microsoft office products, R, Hadoop and SQL.
