Exterro is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to own the commercial success of our product offerings. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the development of product strategy, messaging/positioning, product launches, sales tools and supporting others across the company, including our world class product management, sales and PR/AR teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Be the voice of the market and customer as an integral part of our product strategy formulation
- Define and refine core product marketing components including product positioning, value propositions, key features & benefits, SWOT analysis, etc
- Establish processes to ensure message is clearly articulated, communicated, and managed
- Create killer sales tools that help the sales teams in all phases of the sales cycle
- Establish processes for consistent gathering of competitive intelligence and knowledge transfer
- Strengthen relations with industry associations, press, and analysts by identifying and fostering relationships that will promote awareness of company and product positioning
- Integrate tightly with the sales organization on market and customer strategies, competitive intelligence, scripts, collateral, sales tools and training. The goal here is to increase the effectiveness of the sales organization and the velocity of revenue growth
- Champion all aspects of the product to maximize visibility and drive successful market-driven solutions
- Develop solution specific marketing plans in support of the go-to-market strategy
- Act as subject matter expert for marketing programs, press briefings, analyst briefings and campaigns
- Work with product management to distill key functionality and benefits into core product marketing messages
- Work closely with marketing communications and creative services teams to develop internal/external communication plans (i.e. web, contributed articles, Press Releases, analyst briefings, etc.)
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of product marketing or product management experience in the enterprise software applications market
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience working with cross functional teams and interacting with technical, professional and executive levels
- Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals
- Ability to self-manage and succeed in a highly matrixed, entrepreneurial environment
- Good understanding of Privacy, Information Governance, GRC, and e-discovery market trends preferred
- Deep understanding of business development, software, competitive environments, and enterprise software sales processes
- Demonstrated ability to define, refine, and effectively communicate high dollar value propositions to key decision makers
- Ability to manage multiple, often competing, priorities and tasks
- Passion for gaining insights into client needs, and translating those needs into effective product marketing and creative content and programs
· An accomplished presenter, communicator and writer who can successfully articulate the vision, product and strategy, as well as key issues and priorities.
· MBA preferred
