Role Summary
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Sales will be responsible for bolstering and executing the Company’s enterprise-level partnership strategy and driving channel development including implementation and account management. Specific verticals of focus include health providers/payers, self-insured employers, and other enterprises with testing needs.
What you’ll do:
- Cultivate a pipeline of opportunities and manage progression/deal flow, with keen emphasis on large strategic partners. Must have clear, proven ability to close deal, exceed sales goals, and operationalize partnerships
- Collaborate with leaders in product, operations, engineering and marketing to scope partnership implementations, define opportunities, and launch profitable new revenue streams
- Lead business development and manage all partnership activities, including all steps in the partnerships & sales lifecycle, from prospecting to launch to account management
- Scale sales, implementation, and account management organizations; hire a team and implement a management & incentive structure that will meet or exceed the company’s sales goals
- Make well-reasoned decisions and manage the day-to-day sales operations and performance
- Must be willing to roll up sleeves and execute in a scrappy environment, while also making leadership decisions and significantly contributing to the company’s overall strategy, growth objectives, and culture
Your Education and Experience:
- Executive level leadership capabilities with significant management and team development experience
- Top 25 MBA with a proven track record of leading sales organizations
- Deep healthcare expertise and network
- Demonstrable competency in enterprise sales processes, contracting, partnerships and closing deals
- Resilient with ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Ability to set sales goals and plans and motivate a team to meet them
- Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills with ability to build team culture
- Analytical/data-driven coupled with creative problem solving
- Deep understanding of the sales and implementation cycle, matching deals to company capabilities and ensuring profitable partnerships
- Ability to represent the company with external constituents as the scientific business lead and member of the executive team
- Must be willing to travel 75%.
