Customer Service / Order Processing

Our client is a customer service focused industry leader in the building materials space.  They are a leading distributor that works with the best products and installation solutions.  

We are currently looking for a customer service focussed individual to help process orders over the phone or via the internet in the Bloomington area.  This is a full-time position Monday through Friday.

Job Description:

  • Work with customers on a daily basis to process orders and answer questions
  • Help resolve customer related issues or escalate as needed
  • Utilize the internet and phone to take customer orders for processing
  • Customers will be anyone from General Contractors and Home Owners to internal Sales Staff
  • Enter orders into system after working with customers online or over the phone to determine needs and part numbers
  • Develop a working knowledge of available products
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Customer Service experience is required
  • Data Entry experience is required
  • Attention to detail and organization skills are necessary
  • Must be comfortable taking inbound calls
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is necessary (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must be able to utilize the internet to work with incoming orders
  • Experience in building materials and distribution is a plus
  • Must be able to communicate and follow-up with co-workers and customers
  • Must be able to learn and retain vast amounts of product information
