Job / Position Summary:
The Community Manager is responsible for providing the overall supervision of a community association using EquityTeam's modern and efficient processes. The Community Manager interacts with internal and external customers including homeowners, vendors, board members, and committee members. The Community Manager will provide efficient and timely communication to the Homeowner’s Association (HOA), Homeowners and Board of Director’s needs and requests.
Location and Travel:
Home-based. Must have a quiet area to work during working hours and an excellent internet connection. Attend association meetings.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will be expected to do the following proficiently:
- Manage the day to day operations of the community placing high importance on timely communication, responsiveness, organization, customer service and follow up.
- Act as liaison between the Board of Directors, vendors, homeowners, and staff
- Communicate to the Board of Directors, vendors, homeowners and staff regarding the essentials of their duties and community items
- Provide guidance to Board members regarding community policies all under the realm of state statutes and established Rules and Regulations
- Attend scheduled Board Meetings
- Provide fiscal management through budget preparation, A/R and A/P processes.
- Perform site visits for the purpose of oversight of client vendors and administration of client’s enforcement processes and procedures
- Perform/Direct administrative and management duties as requested by the Board of Directors
- Review monthly financial reports and ensure management summary is submitted to the association Board of Directors.
- Provide and/or oversee recommendations to the Association Board of Directors and committees regarding major capital expenditures as required to maintain the desired community appearance and operation.
- Monitor corporate and client delinquency rates and collections process for account portfolio.
- Ensure the Board of Directors is aware of legal actions involving the Association.
- Maintain unit and contract files relating to the operations of the Association.
- Assist the Board of Directors with the architectural review process and/or routine inspections as necessary.
- Responsible for routine and special project vendor management including procurement as well as performance evaluation as contracted.
Skills / Abilities Needed:
- Knowledge of communities/property/real estate and HOA, COA and/or POA
- Knowledge of the role of the association board, the Community Association Manager, and how those roles interface with the requests of homeowners.
- Knowledge of typical business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling, etc.) at a proficient level.
- Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
- Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
- Professional customer service skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented and a team player.
- Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
Competent computer skills and knowledge of the following programs would be helpful: G Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel.
Education / Experience / Other Requirements:
- 5+ years in/around real estate management required
- 3+ years in/around HOA's (preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- Ohio Real Estate License (not required but preferred)
- Pass background/drug screenings
- Valid driver's license
