Position Summary
The Entry Level Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the proper dispensing, review, and verification of prescribed medications within regulatory guidelines and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Entry Level Pharmacist will also provide pharmacy consulting services to patients regarding the effective usage of medications and awareness with drug interactions.
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Final verification of dispensed products
  • Provide counseling to patients regarding their medications to support appropriate and effective drug use
  • Consult with prescribing practitioners to help ensure accurate and appropriate medication use. Review medication orders and evaluate their appropriateness and completeness
  • Comply with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the State Board of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration
  • Perform all job duties with a friendly positive and team-oriented approach
  • Maintain required licenses or certifications in good standing
  • Comply with all Company policies, procedures, rules and standards

 Experience and Education 
  • Pharmacist License required
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy

Compensation: $85,000 per year

Schedule Type: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 1 hour lunch break
