Visual Inspector (Entry Level)

Position Summary 

The Visual Inspector is a full-time, entry level position. Each Visual Inspector is responsible for inspecting products post-production to measure the characteristics of materials and ensure they conform to specifications. 

Responsibilities

  • Performs visual product inspection for defects, leaks, and particulates 
  • Pull random sampling of products and prepare for 3rd party testing (labeling, shipment prep, submission form review)
  • AQL visual inspection of finished product. Affix/remove disposition labels on the drug product containers 
  • Labeling of finished product 
  • Document and compete expired and rejected drug disposal
  • Keep inspection/labeling room clean and organized 
  • Participate and/or facilitate training as assigned by Supervisor
  • Support internal and external audits 

Knowledge & Skills 

  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP),  Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, and other regulatory compliance regulations and standards
  • Labeling processes and techniques
  • Principles of mathematical and statistical computations

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required 
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical biotech industry preferred 
  • Laboratory experience preferred 
  • Must have 20/20 vision with or without the use of corrective lenses
