About Elementary

Elementary Robotics is a full-stack robotics company based in Downtown Los Angeles. We’re backed by great investors including Fika Ventures, Fathom Capital, Toyota AI Ventures, Idealab, and more! At Elementary we want to bring robot assistants into the world that scale and improve day-to-day repetitive tasks. To achieve this, we’re developing a robotic platform that reduce both the price and complexity barriers traditionally associated with robotics. We have a sharp go-to-market strategy and what you work on will be launching to the world! You’ll join a lean, fast-paced team with experts across the robotic stack and will contribute meaningfully to bring our (and your!) dreams to life.

What You'll Do

  • Develop new features and languages for Atom, our open-source robotics microservice SDK
  • Interface with the open-source community and our engineering team to rank and prioritize feature development and needs
  • Implement adaptations for Atom to support more hardware and use cases
  • Improve and continue to develop the Atom Documentation
  • Speak about Atom at developer conferences and workshops in talks such as these

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience working on open-source projects
  • Community-minded leadership and teamwork processes
  • Language Polyglot: Proficient in 3+ programming languages and dabbled in many more
  • Experience developing and maintaining large projects on GitHub

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading small software teams and managing feature development and roadmaps
  • Excitement to keep up-to-date with the latest open-source trends, libraries and packages
