Energy & Sustainability Analyst

Ei3 Corporation delivers innovative web applications and business solutions in the new and rapidly growing field of internet-based remote monitoring. One of our applications, called Sustainability Monitoring, enables large organizations to measure their greenhouse
gas emissions and environmental footprint. This application is being use by a well-known global enterprise to measure and track the progress made towards meeting published sustainability goals.
To help our customer maximize the potential benefit resulting from of our internet-based measurement methods, we are looking for an Energy & Sustainability Analyst. The successful candidate would be responsible for reviewing large sets of data from hundreds of properties to identify trends and reasons why some locations are improving while others are not.

Position Description:
You understand how energy consumption translates to greenhouse gas emissions. You also understand the impact that waste production, including recycled, unsorted, and hazardous materials, and water consumption has on the environment. With this knowledge you want to dedicate your professional time to finding ways to help
organizations make meaningful reductions. You have formal  education and significant relevant job experience in the measurement and reduction strategies of energy consumption for large portfolios of buildings. In this position you will have the
opportunity to research energy, water, and waste profiles for properties located around the world. The research includes processing large sets of data from properties as well as conducting interviews with property managers and engineers. From this research you will be responsible to determine key lessons-learned with the objective to share these lessons-learned with other properties. Also, you will be responsible to communicate these lessons-learned in various formats including word and excel documents as well as
PowerPoint presentations.

Duties:
* Review Energy and Environmental Data for many property locations
* Identify the positive and negative outliers
* Discover the reason for positive performance through research including interviewing property personnel
* Develop proposals for improving the properties with negative performance by applying positive lessons-learned
* Deliver improvement proposals to stakeholders who are designed by the clients
* Prepare summary reports and return-on-investment reports showing improvements resulting from energy and sustainability projects

Skills:
* Familiar with the engineering requirements of buildings including heating, cooling, lighting, plug-loads, and others
* Understanding of energy related Carbon Intensity / Greenhouse Gas Intensity
* Able to perform advanced analysis of energy consumption data
* Inquisitive and able to discover the root cause for outstanding energy performance
* Can design report formats that facilitate analysis for others to use
* Good communications skills and able to interview property engineers
* Good presentation skills harnessed to deliver the results of findings for management
* Proficient in MS Office applications and at creating web-based help documents
* Experience with the EPA EnergyStar portfolio manger benchmarking tool is a plus.
* Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools is a plus 

Experience:
* 3-5 years working in an energy or sustainability related field
* Bachelor’s Degree in environmental engineering or similar technical area
