    Are you an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer in the Bethesda, Maryland area with a BSCS/BSCE 8+ years of related experience and 5 + years of experience of Linux administration, system designs, configurations, maintenance, upgrades and administration?

    Do you have a strong foundation and a progressive career demonstrating strong programming skills using a preferred language (python, ruby, java, nodejs, or similar) with AWS technologies (S3, EC2, ELB, Subnet/AZ, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, Lambda and an enterprise monitoring tools such as Splunk and CloudWatch ?

    Are you an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer who has created cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation, Enterprise Docker expertise is most definitely a major plus

    Do you have a general understanding of Java and related tools (maven, flyway, tomcat and EMS), an ability to perform defect root cause analysis and provide resolution and to use a variety of open source technologies and cloud services and scripting experience with shell or python or ruby?

    This position requires the following experience in and with:
    • The installation, configuration, and maintenance of both open source licensed and Commercial-off-the-Shelf software tools.
    • CI/CD tools such as Teamcity, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline
    • DevOps-related utilities including Bitbucket, Nexus, Consul, and Artifactory CM tools. Chef is preferred
    • Infrastructure automation testing following CI/CD practices including liniting with foodcritic and rubocop, unit test with chef-spec and integration test with in-spec employment

    Key Job Functions
    • Design automation implementation strategy for manual business and IT processes
    • Mentor less experienced developers in implementing their user stories and defect resolutions
    • Automate infrastructure in Amazon Web Services with Terraform and CloudFormation
    • Automate backup and restoration processes and test the recovery of those backups on a regular basis
    • Actively support operational teams and other stakeholder teams to maintain business continuation and maintain costumer satisfaction
    • Build CI/CD pipeline configurations to orchestrate provisioning and deployment of both large and small scale systems
    • Write unit tests and integration tests to validate infrastructure code
    • Identify engineering defects in the existing code base and constantly improve the code quality
    • Automate monitoring tools to monitor system health and reliability to support high uptime requirements
    • Automate disaster recovery plans to support the applications that run in multiple availability zones and across regions in AWS
    • Actively support operational teams and other stakeholder teams to maintain business continuation and maintain costumer satisfaction
