Finance and Business Operations Lead

The Role
 
We’re seeking an experienced self-driven Finance & Business Operations Lead to join the Finance & Accounting Team. The Finance & Business Operations Lead will be responsible for enhancing and formalizing the forecasting process across the organization, leveraging insights and business acumen to drive financial efficiency and accelerate growth by partnering across the business.  This role will lead financial budgeting and forecasting for both internal planning as well as fund-raising and IPO preparation. This role will take on management responsibilities as the Finance and Business Operations function grows. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with all elements of the business including Sales & Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and the Eargo Leadership team. This role will be a key member of the CFO leadership team.  The candidate must be a team player and collaboration-oriented, as s/he will be responsible for developing the ‘headlights’ that guide the Eargo business through continued commercial expansion.
 
The Responsibilities
 
  • Maintain and develop Eargo Financial Forecasting model
  • Partner to develop business cases for new channel, pricing, and product opportunities
  • Lead weekly (S&OP), monthly (business update) & quarterly (forecast update) cross-functional reviews 
  • Own key controls over purchasing, hiring, and capital investment approvals
  • Drive quarterly forecasting and annual Opex budgeting process
  • Build FP&A and Business operations organization, processes and systems to scale business and role model automation driven efficiency across the organization
  • A key member of CFO leadership team
 
The Qualifications
 
  •  Minimum 6-years of Finance experience across enterprise &/or Investment modeling with continued career progression and experience in a high-growth business
  • Experience developing product and channel business cases, financial forecasts, pricing analysis, and cost improvement initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
  • Experience leading & building Finance Teams and processes in a fast paced product-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of how to drive business improvements through people, processes & systems
  • Ability to communicate with the non-technical audience to understand business and explain complex financial & technical topics in a clear & concise manner
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities, significant ambiguity and to be comfortable working with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex problems
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment
 
The Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent with advanced finance modeling
  • Experience with Accounting and building SOX 404 framework 
  • Experience across multiple FP&A financial modeling and visualization tools
  • Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite
  • Prior IPO and/or M&A forecast modeling experience
