Software Engineer, Lead QA

Summary
The Software Engineer, Lead QA will be working directly with the Web Development and Software Engineering team to ensure the quality and behavior of the Eargo website (eargo.com) and e-Commerce platform (shop.eargo.com). Additionally, the individual will be a key resource in the development of a new Android and iOS native mobile application. The Lead QA will also work with and support our remote/outsourced QA team.
                                                                                                                                    
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
●      Serve as the primary quality assurance resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement
●      Support software engineering efforts by participating in design reviews on development projects representing quality assurance and the customer
●      Design and implement tests to ensure software quality
●      Execute tests in support of software releases
●      Interface with customer quality representatives to identify and resolve quality-related issues for the Eargo website and e-Commerce platform
●      Review customer activity data to ensure correctness
●      Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures
●      Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses
●      Document current testing practices and methodologies
●      Advocate for and adapt industry best practices for web development testing
●      Stay current with the latest Android and iOS app development guidelines
 
 
Requirements                                                                                                                                                
●      Experience with Selenium and Appium – Advanced or Senior Level
●      Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or equivalent
●      Work experience in a QA or related role
●      Experience with software testing, particularly in web and mobile development
●      Solid technical understanding of web technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
●      Testing experience with mobile technologies (Android/iOS)
