Summary
As a Senior Hardware Verification Engineer at Eargo, you will be encouraged to push the limits of hearing aid technology to create delightful experiences for our customers – you will define the future of hearing health. The Senior Hardware Verification Engineer is responsible for all verification activities in the hardware team, ensuring products meet or exceed requirements. This is a high impact role and requires deep experience in FDA processes including requirements generation, test protocols, test implementation, report generation, trace matrix and DHF ownership. Experience in medical hardware verification and testing knowledge is required to support both new product development and sustaining products. Collaboration with Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance will be essential to meet ambitious schedules and product requirements.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in reviews of requirements, design documents, and test related artifacts
- Writing detailed verification test plans, test procedures and test reports
- Define, document, and continuously improve verification testing including conducting peer reviews and maintaining traceability to requirements
- Perform verification tests and conduct analysis of the test results to ensure complete verification of the requirements
- Conducting analysis of test results
- Identifying, analyzing, owning and driving technical issues to resolution
- Proactively own and drive process improvements
- Perform work with little to no supervision as department subject-matter expert
- Building tools including tools drawings and assessments
- Working with external test houses
- Working with Class 1 and 2 medical device standards is preferred
Requirements
- BS or more in relevant engineering discipline
- 5+ years of professional medical hardware verification experience
