Who We Are
Dusty Robotics is an early-stage venture-backed startup developing robotic automation for the construction industry. Construction is one of the largest industries on the planet, yet also one of the least served by automation. While buildings are modeled precisely in CAD, those buildings are built in the field by humans doing manual labor. Dusty Robotics develops robotic automation solutions that turn design into reality. Our first product prints CAD models in full size directly on a concrete deck, bringing the design to life underfoot with perfect accuracy.
What You’ll Do
Are you a construction professional excited about how technology can change the industry? Would you like to get in the door of a fast-paced startup that is developing robots which will be used on every single construction site in the future?
At Dusty Robotics, you will be part of the senior leadership team responsible for defining and executing our business strategy. Your primary responsibility is to develop our business model and validate it through our pilot program with early customers. In this role, you will get to:
- Develop a business model for monetizing our construction robotics product
- Refine the model by tracking key business metrics such as unit economics, MRR, LTV, and TAM
- Validate the model through ongoing conversations with customers
- Orchestrate our early-adopter pilot program: define goals and metrics, organize field visits, and set expectations for all involved
- Cultivate relationships with customers and partners who can make us more successful
- Learn with us what it takes to build and scale a successful robotics startup
An MBA or equivalent experience is required for this position. Prior experience in construction (or related fields such as architecture or real estate development) is strongly preferred.

Where You’ll Work
Our office is located in an industrial warehouse in Mountain View, CA. We’re about a mile from the Caltrain station and a variety of restaurants along Castro Street. Due to the nature of this position, you’ll be most effective if you can come to the office regularly to interact with our team. Unfortunately we cannot sponsor work visas at this time; you must have authorization to work in the US.
Periodic travel to customer sites will be part of this position. You must be able to safely navigate a construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders. You must also assist our team in carrying 50-lb equipment onto job sites.
