Summary
The Account Manager is a highly visible, strategic client facing role, managing and developing relationships with both new and existing customers. AMs are expected to be the internal advocate for clients thus responsible for retention, satisfaction and revenue growth of existing accounts within the organization. Duties include servicing, upselling, managing overall campaign health and cultivating relationships at all levels of the customer's organization.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for client satisfaction, retention & revenue growth for assigned book of business
- Build trusted relationships with customers through exceptional service and open communication
- Manage multiple client accounts and develop strong relationships with individual day-to-day contacts within the clients' organization
- Develop and execute long-term strategic plans based on clients' business goals and objectives
- Leverage data to assess, diagnose and prescribe campaign optimizations to exceed client expectations
- Extract performance & audience insights from data and effectively communicate to clients' in relation to their campaign goals and objectives
- Coordinate day-to-day operational processes with internal teams including campaign setup, trafficking, troubleshooting and billing
- Prepare reporting, presentations, call logs and meeting notes
- Stay abreast of industry news, innovations, trends and best practices
- Perform various other duties, as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of account management experience in digital or programmatic marketing
- Minimum 1 year experience in DSP/trading platforms specifically The Trade Desk.
- Must have a strong quantitative aptitude
- Excellent presentation skills coupled with the confidence to effectively communicate complex ideas in front of large or small audiences of varying authority (e.g. Media Buyers to Chief Marketing Officers)
- Highly detail-oriented & strong organizational skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of ad serving technologies and/or media planning is ideal, but not required
- Must have ability to identify and escalate new business opportunities with existing clients
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Successful multi-tasker
- Ability to act autonomously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel & PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree (Business/Economics/Advertising majors are a plus)
