Head of Warehouse Operations (Warehouse Manager)

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Leadership, Professional Development, and Warehouse Operations to become our Warehouse Manager and the newest member of our leadership team.

    You’ll report directly into the president of the company and from a tactical level will own all general warehouse operations including team and vendor management, high-volume shipping, receiving, packaging, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, and everything else that goes on in an eCommerce warehouse.

    From a strategic level, you will be responsible for scaling our warehouse team and operations to meet the demands of our growing business by leveraging the highest levels of technology available to you. You’ll be part of the annual business planning process and will design a warehouse strategic plan to meet the needs of our overall business. You can expect to implement new international logistics processes and WMS technologies as well as physical warehouse equipment, layouts, and product packaging.

    In a nutshell, you are responsible for making a meaningful impact on the Driven Products team and business. You’ll need to be a hands-on, strong leader that’s technologically savvy and likes trying new things, moving quickly and getting S*** done!

    YOU'LL BE DOING THINGS LIKE:
    • Defining, guiding, and executing the Warehouse Strategic plan to align with our business plan and growth initiatives.
    • Leading and scaling our warehouse team.
    • Creating, maintaining, and enhancing warehouse processes and related documentation.
    • Implementing, maintaining, and upgrading warehouse equipment and systems.
    • Getting your hands dirty (literally) by doing every warehouse task to gain a deep understanding of our processes and how they work.
    • Getting hands-on with our products by kitting, assembling, and customizing packaging.
    • Working closely with both our domestic and international suppliers to optimize our inbound logistics processes, costs, and inventory turn.
    • Managing import logistics and customs.
    • Working closely with the Systems and Customer Experience teams to increase customer satisfaction, drive efficiency, and resolve problems.

    CHALLENGES YOU’LL NEED TO OVERCOME RIGHT AWAY:

    • We are a small team that is growing quickly - You will need to be very hands on.
    • We are small and, as a result, have limited resources - You will need to be scrappy.
    • We are scaling, so you’ll need to:
      • Review and update processes continually.
      • Review and update process and system documentation continually.
      • Build a team. There are currently two team members in the warehouse.
      • Update the warehouse layout and equipment to accommodate new needs.
      • Update and customize warehouse systems to meet the increasing demand for automation.

    YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:

    • Experience leading, growing and coaching people.
    • A love for process and numbers.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Deep knowledge of warehouse operational systems, shipping, and inventory control.
    • Experience in creating and executing strategic plans.

    IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU HAD:

    • Experience in both small and large warehouses/distribution centers.
    • Experience taking a small warehouse of < 5 people to a medium-size warehouse of > 20 people.
    • NetSuite ERP and WMS experience.
    • Advanced data analytics capabilities.
    • Vendor Management experience.
    • Shipping carrier software implementation and customization experience.
    • Experience importing products from around the world.
    • Forklift Trainer Certification.
    • Work Order and Light Manufacturing experience.
