Chef de partie/Line Cook

The Inn at Dos Brisas, a Texas Relais & Chateaux hotel and Texas’s only Forbes 5-star restaurant, is seeking a talented Sous Chef/Line Cook to work directly with the chef in creating daily menus and managing a small team.

We offer an exciting opportunity to be part of a close team led by Executive Chef Matthew Padilla to work directly with our farmer and create unique dining experiences for our guests. Our menus evolve daily based on what our own farm is currently producing.

Housing is available for the right candidate on property and possibly included in benefits package.

We are located on 313 acres of rolling organic farmland, forest, and pasture, one hour north of Houston, and 1 hour east of Austin. The Inn represents an escape for guests from around the world to savor freshly picked organic vegetables, expertly commingled with the finest proteins drawn both locally and from around the world. Our culinary philosophy marries Asian minimalism with French quality and American flair for presentation. As one of only thirty-two Forbes Five-Star restaurants in the United States, we require the highest levels of dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence in our staff.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, high sense of urgency, passion for culinary arts, strong attention to detail, ability to work effectively in a professional yet high pressure kitchen environment.

The successful candidate will possess a stable work history and 4 to 5 years experience in a restaurant kitchen. This is a regular, full-time position. This is a unique opportunity to have direct influence on menu development and working with the farm.
