Job Brief
We are looking for a experienced self-starter full-time technically oriented individuals to deliver field based exceptional customer service and product repair in the West Virginia Area. The goal is to improve customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability. As an Appliance Field Service Engineer, you will have the opportunity to repair refrigerators, freezers, (Sealed and non-sealed systems) and other home appliances such as washers and dryers, gas and electronic stoves, microwave ovens, dishwashers, ice makers, trash compactors, garbage disposers, etc in the customers' homes.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the resolution of customer/product repair within the company standard expectations.
- Provide the effective repair and first time resolution of all in-home customer repairs within the service area.
- Carry out repairs, modifications of home appliances in the field.
- Resolve customer issues within given guidelines and to the customer's satisfaction.
- Protect the customers floors, counters and appliances while working.
- Efficiently diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. Make appropriate repairs or order parts for repair.
- Legibly complete all necessary paperwork.
- Operate vehicle in a safely manner.
- Follow all company's procedures and protocols
- Cooperate with service and parts team and share information across the organization.
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings. Reschedule repairs if parts need to be ordered.
- Build positive relationships with customers
- Maintain an up-to-date van stock of parts, in accordance with current van stock lists and ensure parts are safeguarded from damage.
- Meeting key performance productivity goals
- Maintain all equipment spares and tools in a satisfactory manner and ensure that company property and information is safeguarded at all times.
Qualified Candidates:
- 3-5 years of appliance repair experience.
- Refrigeration experience a plus.
- Organized with the ability to complete multiple service calls in a timely manner on a daily basis while providing high levels of customer service.
- Must be a self starter and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and superior customer service skills.
- Continuous updating of progress to Managers in regards to service requests.
- Strong computer proficiency, including email, parts look up, invoicing software.
- Maintenance of company provided van.
- Ability to lift 70+ lbs.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Successful completion of background, drug, driving check.
