Sales Associate

Role 
Don’s Appliances is a family-owned, independent appliance retailer based out of Pittsburgh, PA and has won Pittsburgh's Top Workplace four years in a row.  We are currently seeking an experienced Appliance Sales Associate to join our team in North Huntingdon.  At Don's Appliances, we invest in our sales associates providing comprehensive training and mentoring to ensure their success.

**We anticipate the first year income to be between $65k - $75K and $80k - $100k+ after the 2nd year for committed sales representative.


Responsibilities
•Takes ownership for enhancing the customer experience, assisting customers by utilizing approved selling practices and guidelines to identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Understands website navigation and proactively leverages technology in order to facilitate the customer experience.
•Completes required training in the expected timeframe and participates in ongoing learning opportunities.
•Maintains current knowledge of merchandise lines, product features, benefits and availability, and, if applicable, delivery, installation and/or service options, to respond to customer needs.
•Understands website navigation.
 Understands the inventory system and ensuring products are in stock. Ability to write quotes and invoices for customers. 
•Processes customer transactions in the inventory/Point of Sale System, including sales, returns, exchanges, etc. in accordance with authorized procedures.
•Fully optimizes credit and warranty opportunities.
•Meets or exceeds associate contribution/department productivity standards.
•Partners with other sales and departments to provide superior customer service (i.e., locate merchandise, assist customers, answer phones, etc.).
•Adheres to company policies.
•Uses basic internet navigation to access and print information/reports.
•Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Internal Candidates must complete an internal candidate form and have it signed by their supervisor.

  • Able to multitask calmly and efficiently
  • Measure, present and sell all related products used in the appliance market.
  • Participate in showroom duty/sales coverage and special marketing events as require
  •  Must attend sales meeting and all required training. 
  • Must be knowledgeable on all product offerings.
  • Must be willing to travel to all the showrooms in the area if coverage is required. 
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Saturdays are mandatory
