QA Engineer

Job Description: 
As a member of our QA team, you will be responsible for testing the Doctor on Demand mobile applications as well as the Web-based Patient and Provider applications. Primary responsibilities include bug submission and fix verification, regression testing, test plan and test-case maintenance and helping to maintain the high level of quality we expect in our products. 
Our engineering team is small and moves quickly, working on weekly releases and frequent app updates.   • Test web, iOS and Android applications to identify software defects
  • Write comprehensive test plans based on product spec
  • Run manual test plans for small features and full regressions
  • Provide recommendations on improvements to the user experience
  • Triage issues reported by the support team
  • Participate in Engineering and Product Design meetings
  • Work closely with the developers to report and isolate issues

Technical skills required for the role include: 
  • Minimum 4 years experience testing mobile and web-based applications
  • Ability to distinguish between bugs caused by frontend or backend
  • Experience testing systems using multiple environments (DEV, QA, PROD)
  • Experience working with Xcode and iOS debugging tools such as Console
  • Experience working with Android Studio or other common Android IDE software
  • Basic skills using Git

  • Experience testing mobile VOIP or video conference solutions in the wild
  • Experience with JIRA / Bitbucket / Confluence / Atlassian product suite
  • Experience writing web automation in Python
  • Experience in mobile automation using Xcode XCTest or Android Studio
  • Exposure to the entire lifecycle of a software release
  • Experience in telemedicine or the healthcare industry
  • Exposure to CI tools such as App Center, Crashlytics and TestFlight
  • Experience in testing API calls and web services
