Position Summary:
The Human Resources Associate (HRA) is primarily responsible supporting the Human Resources Director and the Senior Recruiting Manager with a variety of HR generalist and administrative activities and ensures programs offered to employees through the Human Resources Department function properly. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, and recruitment/employment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages new employee onboarding process, including the I-9/E-verify process.
- Serves as a point of contact for benefits enrollment and claims questions in the absence of the HR Director
- Assists HR Director with developing and organizing benefits events and campaigns such as open enrollment, health and wellness fairs, and biometric screenings.
- Responsible for completing background checks and reference check requests, also responsible for completing employment verification requests.
- Serves as a point of contact for HR related questions and inquiries.
- Supports HR with documentation needed to maintain compliance and audit readiness for OFCCP, AAP, VETS, etc.
- Assists with new hire orientation and onboarding of new staff
- Responsible for ensuring new hires receive swag bags
- Assists Recruiting Manager with interview scheduling
- Posts new positions to company website and appropriate external online resources
- Assists with updating applicant information in company applicant tracking system
- Attends job fairs and other recruiting events with Recruiting Manager
- May assist with maintenance of HR and Recruiting metrics weekly/quarterly
- Assists facilities and operations team with company event planning as needed
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of human resources support experience, preferably in a generalist capacity
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
- Must have previous experience working with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
