Senior Engineer (Full-Stack)

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for highly experienced Technical Leads and Senior Software Engineers with strong full-stack Javascript based experience, preferably ReactJS and NodeJS.

We want you to work with our talented and passionate team to re-build the technology platform that will power our next growth phase (and beyond). You’ll have a unique opportunity to get involved early to shape both the team and the technology.

In previous roles, you’ll have designed and built high-quality cloud-native front-end applications in React and backend services in NodeJS; ideally within a financial services/technology environment (but this is not a showstopper).

Pair programming, continuous delivery, test driven development, and incremental design should be second nature to you and the thought of writing code without tests should make you grimace. You’re most definitely an advocate of agile and lean ways of working.

You have a real passion for solving customer and business problems by working collaboratively with those around you, and you’ll be somebody who is happy to get stuck into what you need to do but also get involved in things outside of your specific experience and functional expertise when needed.

If you have a stronger leaning towards either front-end or back-end rather than full-stack, then get in touch anyway because both are equally as important to us.

Technical competencies and experience.

// Expertise (5 yrs experience) in full-stack development, architecture and design i.e.
  • Developing front-ends using Core Javascript and ReactJS
  • Server-side development experience with NodeJS, MongoDB, mySQL and JavaScript (or similar)
  • Proven experience building NodeJS applications (REST, microservices)

// Building cloud-native apps hosted on AWS, Google or Digital Ocean.
