Commercial Food Equipment Service Technician

Our central office is in Saco, with techs deploying from various locations throughout Southern and Central Maine. We can be on the job within hours, sometime minutes of your call. We are now seeking a reliable service technician who is willing to learn and grow in the trade as well as grow with us.
Basic Qualifications:
· High school Diploma or Equivalent preferred
· 1-2 years’ experience with cooking equipment or HVAC Installation and Repair
· Must have ME Gas License
· Industry related education may be considered
· Must have Valid Driver’s License with acceptable Driving Record
· Industry certifications such as CFESA, NATE, and FACTORY are preferred
· Must be able to work after hours if needed
Responsibilities Include:
· Must be able to read and understand English written wiring diagrams and schematics
· The ability to troubleshoot, repair, and perform performance maintenance on cooking equipment such as fryers, ranges, griddles, warmers, smokers, etc. (Cold side experience as well)
· Must be able to operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, meters, hoists, rigging equipment, torches and measuring equipment to perform service of the unit.
· Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force (pulling, pushing, lifting, carrying, etc.) regularly and up to 50 pounds of force frequently without assistance.
· Ability to climb and work from 8ft ladder, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, twist, grasp to perform essential job functions.
· Ability to tolerate environmental conditions consisting of extreme heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, dust, and poor ventilation.
· Must be able to operate a commercial vehicle and trailer in a safe manner and adhere to all company safety requirements.
· Must be able to work on-call nights and weekends when assigned.
· Must have ability to effectively communicate with the customer, and work independently under pressure, and without close supervision

Compensation:
· Apprentice level technician starting at $18 hourly and up to $25 for A+ level technicians, all based upon experience.
