Cut is a media company creating the next generation of premium brands. Our videos are for real people; they’re sometimes awkward, often funny, and surprisingly thought provoking. Sitting at the intersection of companies like Buzzfeed and Vice, we aspire to create content that is viral and smart, highly produced and scalable, mainstream and cool. Cut is growing its team and we are looking for a Channel Coordinator to join our Distribution Team.
As a Channel Coordinator for Cut, you’ll bring your passion for storytelling, digital media, and data analysis to make our content fit perfectly wherever we distribute. You’ll own the distribution process, including organizing, uploading, and optimizing our existing and future releases. You will have a big impact on the videos we make, when we launch them, and how we promote them.
Day-to-day you will:
- Work with programming, production, and sales to make sure our content is released according to schedule.
- Create our best practices and ensure all videos are released according to them, including: correct titling, metadata, and links.
- Participate in post mortems and generate channel performance reports.
Here’s what you bring to the table:
- You have experience distributing video on social media platforms
- You are organized, task oriented and love crossing things off of your to do list.
- You have superb verbal and written communication skills.
- You are confident in your ability to influence and manage team members to meet deadlines.
- You have an unrelenting curiosity for audience behavior, growth strategies, and understanding what makes people share videos.
- You are excellent at prioritizing, and excited to work in a constantly changing start-up environment with a small team and limited resources
It would be a plus if you had:
- Experience with statistics and data analysis
- Experience with A/B testing
The truth is, a lot of this could change and you have to be okay living in ambiguity. What won’t change is what we value: that you are eager to deliver and grow yourself, your team, and ultimately our business. Sound exciting? Then we’re excited to speak to you.
