We are looking for a Fermentation Associate who wants to help run our cloud biomanufacturing facility. Your work will quickly impact cutting edge biotechnology companies by helping them get their products to market faster and more efficiently.
You will have an opportunity to build new skills and learn about all aspects of our business. In particular, you will learn mammalian and microbial cell culture techniques and work with state of the art robotics, software, and automation equipment.
What you'll do:
- Executing fermentation experiments for customers.
- Setting up, operating and taking down bioreactors.
- Processing and analyzing samples.
- Following operating procedures with attention to detail.
- Working with hardware and software engineers to improve our bioreactor hardware and software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology, chemical engineering, biotechnology or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience working in a fermentation or cell culture laboratory
- Familiarity with aseptic technique, media preparation, and using microbiology lab equipment including laminar flow hoods, incubators, autoclaves, plate readers, and light microscopes
- Experience working with Google Drive and G Suite Applications.
- Flexible work schedule is preferred but not required.
