Cuebiq is hiring a skilled and passionate Data Analyst to join our Financial Services & Real Estate Team in New York. This individual must be able to design, implement, maintain and scale systems and algorithms for analysis of large volumes of mobile, desktop and behavioral data. The person who fills this position will be responsible for everything from data exploration and initial prototyping to deployment of data driven production code.

Location: New York
Responsibilities:
- Model and solve complex business problems for hedge fund, private equity, and real estate clients.
- Produce insights and identify new ways to leverage proprietary data through the use of statistical, algorithmic, mining and visualization techniques.
- Build and maintain pipelines and systems that support the analysis of terabytes of mobile data.
- Provide data that is congruent and reliable.
- Conduct data analysis deep dives involving highly complex algorithms.
- Backtest data against publicly reported metrics and other alternative datasets to validate signals.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Data Engineering and Client Operations teams to optimize deliverables and streamline production.
Experience:
- At least two years relevant work experience
- BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Well versed in modern software development practices and committed to produce high-quality deliverables.
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and statistical methods.
- Strong preference for candidates with Financial Services background, but not required.
Skills/Competencies:
- Advanced Python skills
- Working knowledge of some or all: SQL, Presto, Spark, R, Java
- Ability to collaborate & communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- Flexible, get-it-done, startup mindset with proven success in fast-paced environments
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions or limitations, for at least 2 consecutive years
