Sales Associate, Financial Services

About the Role: 

Cuebiq is looking for an exceptional sales person to join its Financial Services team in NYC. The individual will have a track record of proven success selling into Asset Managers (Hedge Funds and/or Private Equity) with bonus points for candidates that have experience in subscription sales of alternative data products.  Entrepreneurial, get-it-done attitude is a must as well as an innate ability to build long-term relationships.  This person works effectively with little hand holding, but is also looking for a fast-paced team environment with a good sense of humor.  

Responsibilities:

  • Evangelize Cuebiq as an expert on alternative data and the geolocation data landscape  
  • Take over existing pipeline opportunities 
  • Build new pipeline through outbound prospecting efforts
  • Engage daily with sophisticated clients that ask difficult questions (CIOs, PMs, Analysts) 
  • Manage the entire subscription sales cycle (lead generation, qualification, testing/evaluation, negotiation, contract closure, relationship management)
  • Execute against a quarterly quota 
  • Tailor your pitch, collateral and proposals to fulfill a variety of client types (i.e. Quants, Fundamental Investors, Channel Partners, Private Equity, Real Estate, etc) 
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing and Quantitative Research teams to ensure new and existing client needs are being met 
  • Stay up to speed on equity market dynamics and how Cuebiq’s offering can provide insight to company performance
  • Maintain client activity records in SalesForce.

Experience:

  • 3-7 Years Full Time work experience in Financial Services with a focus on Data product sales (i.e. a data-driven equity research team or alternative data
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions or limitations, for at least 2 consecutive years
