Omega is our internal digital workforce operations center dedicated to ensuring that Olive shows up for work every day, does her job extremely well, and gets smarter over time. Omega is a product offering that supports Olive’s work for our customers.
The Operations Support Engineer at Olive is internally referred to as the Omega Watch Engineer. This position is responsible for maintaining automated customer workflows and providing 24x7 support as part of an on-call rotation. The ideal candidate will have to be flexible with the ability to work within an ever-changing work environment across multiple projects. This person will also have an opportunity to help build out our automated testing for optimal platform performance. As the Watch Engineer, you will support Olive's daily work by monitoring for and resolving failures and issues to ensure Olive shows up for work every day.
Job Duties Include but are not limited to:
- Pair program and collaborate with other engineers to implement automated testing of our internal tools
- Debug and triage issues related to infrastructure and workflow stability
- Work with multiple stakeholders in a timely fashion to accept the transition of workflows from engineering to support
- Integrate test plans into test infrastructure
- Use software development programs and operating systems for development
- Identify optimization opportunities in our workflows
- Participate in a weekly on-call rotation
- Document process, procedures, and training materials for staff and stakeholders
- Define new techniques and best practices for all areas of robotic process automation
- Provide feedback to product and development teams to help improve our in house process automation tools
- Attend daily stand-up and periodic team meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related degree or equivalent experience
- Solid understanding of data types and structures
- Ability to troubleshoot remote connectivity in applications such as Citrix Receiver, Horizon VMWare Client, RDP
- Version control such as GIT, Subversion, Team Foundation
- Ability to understand large scale software & system architecture
- Able to communicate technical issues with technical & non-technical folks alike
- Experience in one of the following programming languages: Javascript, Ruby, Python, etc.
Preferred Skills/Experience Nice to Have:
- Experience with Agile tools, Jira, Trello, Pivotal Tracker
- Understanding of xPath or CSS
- Understanding of Continuous integration, testing, deployment & release methodologies
- Experience with hardware testing
- Proficiency with recent Windows Server operating systems
- Healthcare IT and EHR knowledge
- Experience with SQL statements for data filtering and retrieval
