Robotic Process Automation Team Lead

Our Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Engineering team continues to grow and we’re looking for Engineering Team Lead that can oversee a team of Engineers to successfully deliver Olive’s on-time, to requirement, and bug-free. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams in software development, automation engineering, or software testing automation. With the continued growth of Olive, this role will have a huge impact on Olive’s success as a company and in healthcare, setting up the right candidate of years of success.

Job Duties Include but are not limited to:
  • Manages and oversees the design and development of automation builds.
  • Directs the work of engineers to ensure the best practices around software development.
  • Work with Project Managers and the QA team to ensure Engineers are hitting project deadlines and deliver automated workflows in a timely fashion.
  • Delegate projects to engineers on the team to align with the project needs.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Conduct sprint planning, daily stand-ups, team meetings, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with your team members.
  • Perform regular HR duties such as approving PTO, conducting performance reviews, performance improvement plans, and goal setting.
  • Define new techniques and best practices for all areas of robotic process automation.
  • Provide feedback to product and development teams to help improve our in house process automation tools
  • Document process, procedures, and training materials for staff and stakeholders.
  • On-board and train new engineers on our custom RPA tools.
  • Manage blockers to insure your team’s projects progress is not hindered.

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years experience as a team lead, lead engineer, engineering manager or proven experience in delivering high-quality software solutions. 
  • 10+  years experience in one of the following; automation engineering, quality engineering, systems administration, software engineering.
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related degree(mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience. 
  • Solid understanding of data types and structures.
  • Version control such as GIT, Subversion, Team Foundation Server, etc.
  • Ability to understand large scale software & system architecture.
  • Able to communicate technical issues with technical & non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in one or more of the following programming languages: Javascript, Ruby, Python, Java, C#, .Net, Visual Basic, etc.
  • Experience with Agile tools, Jira, Trello, Pivotal Tracker.
  • Solid understanding of SOAP and RESTful API’s.
  • Experience with RPA tools, such as Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or others.
  • Healthcare IT and EHR knowledge.

Preferred Skills/Experience Nice to Have
  • Experience with Automated testing, Unit testing or TDD.
  • Understanding of continuous integration, testing, deployment & release methodologies.
  • Experience with SQL statements for data filtering and retrieval.
